Amy Comander, MD, DipABLM
My career interests include breast oncology, cancer survivorship, and lifestyle medicine, and I have pursued training in these areas to help my patients thrive after a cancer diagnosis. Along the way, I pursued coaching training, and I am interested in helping physician colleagues improve well-being. My hobbies include exercise (I am a runner and I have run the Boston Marathon ten times- for charity!), hosting fun events such as outdoor yoga classes and group Peloton rides, and exploring new restaurants (especially ones that are plant-based!) and activities in the Boston area. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two teenagers. In collaboration with Dr Beth Frates, I have launched “PAVING the Path to Wellness,” a 12-week lifestyle medicine-based survivorship program for women with breast cancer. I am currently on the Board of Directors for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and I am happy to share my interest in lifestyle medicine with those who would like to learn more. Along with Dr. Frates and Dr. Michelle Tollefson, we have written the “PAVING the Path to Wellness” workbook. I am on the Board of the Ellie Fund, a non-profit organization which provides services and support to women diagnosed with breast cancer in Massachusetts. As a coach, I hope I can help you find purpose, meaning, and fulfillment in your work,
