Affirmations…

AFFIRMATIONS:

An affirmation is a short, powerful statement that allows you to consciously be in control of your thoughts. It is

carefully constructed to have the most impact. When you say them or think them, they become the thoughts that

shape your reality.

Research has proven that around 80% of the 50,000 subconscious thoughts you have in a day are

negative ones. That is a lot of negativity! Affirmations make you consciously aware of your thoughts. So, when you

consciously think positive thoughts, it is easier to control the negative ones that are always threatening to take over.

We are aware how stressful the days can be for all our physicians, hence reading these short yet impactful

affirmations are believed to have a strong and long-lasting effect on one’s brain.

Benefits positive of affirmations :

  • Reduced negative thoughts – As we know most of our thoughts are subconscious, positive affirmations

allow us to become aware of our feelings hence reducing risk of allowing negative thought patters to take

form.

  • Increased happiness – Affirmations allow you to acknowledge things that prevent your happiness, resulting

in surrounding yourself with things that you want in your life.

  • Keeping small things in perspective – Using positive affirmations allow you to remember the small things we

often take for granted. For example, if you’re healthy, you may not appreciate it but by using “I am healthy”

as an affirmation, you are able to focus on it.

  • Better cardiovascular health – Positive affirmations keep you in a positive mood. A recent study shows how

optimism reduces risk of heart strokes and other cardiovascular events.

Examples of Positive Affirmations:

 I believe in, trust, and have confidence in myself.

 I learn from my mistakes.

 I I can accomplish what I set my mind to.

 I forgive myself for not being perfect because I know I’m human.

 I accept what I cannot change.

 I have control over my thoughts, feelings, and choices.

 I treat others with respect and appreciate their individuality.
